Note: All automatic Amaroks must be paired with the genuine equivalent plug in wiring harness with ECU. The ECU will disable the overdrive gear and prevent overheating of the gearbox during highway driving, only when a trailer is plugged in. Manual transmission Amarok’s can use the hardwire with ECU option for trailer wiring. 

Note: If a non – ecu wiring harness is listed as a check box option, your vehicle will not require an ECU module trailer wiring harness for general towing purposes
